    This paper develops a 55 sector applied general equilibrium model of Kenya with foreign direct investment and Dixit-Stiglitz productivity effects from additional varieties of imperfectly competitive goods or services, and uses the model to assess its regional and multilateral trade options, focusing on commitments to foreign investors in services. MAGNET is a modular global computable general equilibrium model that covers every sector in the economy and has been used extensively in agricultural, environmental, and trade policy analysis. This tool is included in the Development Impacts Assessment (DIA) Toolkit from the LEDS Global /Organization: LEI Wageningen .   The standard trade model is a general equilibrium model, which highlights the way in which goods and factor markets are interconnected.
